Recruiting is an on-going process that seems to never end until signing day. For those players hoping to make it to the next level, your efforts to be seen and evaluated by college coaches should be never ending as well. After ASA Nationals what do you do?

You can't stop putting yourself in front of college coaches or you might get lost or passed over. If you are a high school player in Georgia, you can't sit back and play high school ball and then wait until high school is over to start back on th recruiting trail or you may get lost in the shuffle. Can you really take that chance? Winning the recruiting game is about staying "in" the game and "on top" of the game. While some of your teammates take August off you can stay in the recruiting game at the Southern Star All-Star Showcase at Lovejoy Regional Park in Hampton, GA.

Every year dozens of individual players come to our event and play in front of the watchful eye of college coaches. And you should too. This event has had a lot of success in matching players up with colleges in need.

The deadline to enter is JULY 21. To download an entry form, go to the web site. You will also receive information from our new partners at the Softball Factory and the services that they have for recruiting as well.

ATTENTION GEORGIA HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS - If your high school team has a game on Saturday August 13, remember that you can sign up to be on a Sunday only team. YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE. There is no rule in GHSA that says that you can not play and nobody has the right to tell you what you can and can not do on your own time, especially on Sunday's. Don't take time out of the recruiting game! The only person you are hurting is yourself if you skip this event!

We have had over 200 people request applications and I apologize for not being able to get to a computer to send out information while I was working with and evaluating the softball players in the British Virgin Islands last week.

Therefore I have extended the deadline to enter until July 28.
