Your team was 4-0 and has dropped 4 straight to higher classification schools (good teams/programs) over the last week going back to LAST Friday You have a conf game coming up Monday just 10 run ruled last night.... The two other teams you lost to in their last at bats while the other loss came under the slaughter rule as well! Other than Sundays your kids have practice on Saturdays since the season started well over a month or so ago! Do you practice or would you practice today regardless of the weather etc.. (It is pouring outside)????

I would practice. You can only get better. It can never hurt to practice.

But, sometimes a day off renews the spirit.

A lot of times it's hard to really get much done with a practice inside.

Your school season just isn't that long to begin with. Have a light practice and have fun with it. Saturday's practice should be that way anyway, just try to get the kinks out from the game before. It's baseball, you have to practice if you want to get better. If not, stay at home and don't complain if you get beat time and again.

I agree about the having fun part. I've always liked playing a game of Wiffle Ball on Saturdays. It's a fun way to relax and still get things done. We'll treat it like batting practice in some ways. One inning we'll go with "Your pitch" and the next we'll go with a "2-strike approach." It ends up being fun and sometimes really competitive. It's a good way to forget about a loss earlier in the week or get refocused for the week coming up.
