or at least it is in high school...I'm sure this has been covered on here more than once but I've missed it. If an athlete, (08) has played both baseball and football for seven plus years and enjoys both equally and is pretty good at both sports, what should his plan be as far as summer ball, showcase ball, etc.. keeping in mind summer football workouts and the like..can you be seen?..I'm sure alot of you have been through this and I would appreciate you're imput. Thank you ahead of time.

There is no right or wrong answer. It's up to the individual. Plus the talent level for the two sports comes into play. As a guideline, I would say that actual "showcasing" is not important until the summer or fall of your rising senior year if baseball is the direction that one wants to go. If football is the priority, then summer workouts are important. I'm not a proponent of doing them both in the fall.

The best advice I can give is this; if you enjoy playing two sports...don't ever change or give one up for the other. Enjoy your HS experience playing as many sports that you like.

Re: baseball players - are you recommending the (rising junior) summer and (junior) fall or the (rising senior) summer and senior fall?
