J.T. Pope to Davidson College

    J.T. Pope, Sr. catcher for Coach Dean Deese at Orange High School, will continue his baseball career after HS at Davidson College. JT is a three year starter for the Panthers and a big part of their run to the 2A State Championship last year. I had the pleasure of coaching JT for several years of AAU ball for the Durham Diamondbacks a few years ago. He is a huge competitor and an even better young man.
    Congratulations to J.T., Jeff and Nancy. Y'all done good. J.T., I am proud of you brother!

    Congrats JT

    I have watched his progress throughout his hs career from the opposing dugout and it has been a pleasure to see him play the game. JT is outstanding both at the plate and behind it. He plays the game very hard and is a true leader on the field. Congrats JT what a great school you are going to.
