I have been told that Independence will play Myers Park (possibly Wednesday) and Parkwood (possibly Thursday) but I'm not sure what time the games are. The Indy - Parkwood game should be interesting since Mark and Aaron will be coaching against some former players. Coach Hammers also coaches Robby Bray and Evan Taylor during the summer for the Megastars.

Assuming that's the case, here's my best guess, but remember it is just a guess at this point:
    Tuesday:
6:00 North Meck vs. Myers Park
    Wednesday:
12:00 North Meck vs. Myers Park
    3:00 Hopewell vs. Parkwood
    6:00 Independence vs. Myers Park
    Thursday:
    12:00 Hopewell vs. Myers Park
    3:00 Independence vs. Parkwood

I hope that is right. I guess it makes sense because I'm sure the MECA 8 teams would rather not play each other, and I understand Parkwood only wanted two games. Anyway, at least it is baseball!

I figured that the Mecca teams did not want to play each other, so after the first day, it doesn't leave many opponents left

Sounds like a couple of tough days for Indy. Playing Myers Park after they play North Meck twice and finishing up with Parkwood.

    North Meck vs Myers Park:
Porter, Rosenbaum and Mazzetti combined on a 2-hitter. All were in the 88+ range and Rosenbaum busted a few in the low 90's.

    Porter 3IP, 1H, 0R
    Rosenbaum 3IP, 1H, 1R
    Mazzetti 1IP, 0H, 0R

Pitchers for Myers park pitched well, but North started out hot. Jeremy Mathis started and went 5 innings. He was roughed up for 4 early runs, but settled down and pitched very effectively. Ryan Rockecharlie subbed for Mathis and also received a rude greeting from the long ball. Both were pitching behind in the count early on and just got too much of the ball over the plate at times. When they started hitting their spots, they were both very tough.

Other hitters: Junior Zack Pou nailed a shot to deep RF for North. Ben Heath had a couple of very solid hits. He continues to make it impossible to take him out of the line up and looks to be one of the best hitting sophs in the region. North totaled 6 hits in the first 7 batters, plating 4 first inning runs.

You can tell by the approach at the plate that Myers Park is a very good hitting team. They will be tough to "double-up" and beat again tomorrow.

You are too kind NC. It was a dominating performance by any measure. A dozen strikeouts by the Viking pitching trio and 15 hits by the Viking offense. Had it not been for three defensive double plays turned by Myers Park, the score would have been even uglier.

Is that the right color NC?

Probable pitchers for tomorrow's noon start are North's Sam Pierce and Myers Park's Cody Drake.

My guess was right. This is the tournament schedule.
