Jake Barbee to Liberty

    It is with great pride and excitement that we inform you of more great news. 2013 East Coast Prospects standout, Jake Barbee (Hickory Ridge HS), verbally committed to Liberty University Tuesday evening. Jake and his family have been loyal members of our program for years. He has combined his very special talents with a strong work ethic to create this awesome opportunity.



    Jake is one of the best offensive players in the state of North Carolina at any age level. Liberty has definitely added a formidable left-handed bat and true leader behind the plate.



    Congratulations to Jake, his parents Jeff and Sonja, and the rest if his family, along with Coach Toman and the Liberty baseball staff. We are very proud of Jake's accomplishment and decision to continue his baseball career at Liberty University along with several other ECP players.

    Great job Jake and well deserved. With the year Liberty is having and the guys they are loading up with they look like they could really start to become the cream of the Big South.

    Been watching Jake play a long time. This kid has one of the best left-handed swings around and can definitely rake. No doubt he will add some offense to the Liberty lineup. Congratulations to Jake and his family.
