January 19th Games Thread

    Some big games on tap tonight.

    East Burke at AC Reynolds
    Alexander Central at McDowell
    Watauga at South Caldwell
    Freedom has the night off

    Post all updates here

    Hopefully for WHS sake, the loss of Seth won't hinder them against a team they lost to in Boone. However according to the players no one played that game with any energy or will. There minds were else where, the fact that the entire town of Boone was either in Chattanooga that night or in the lobby watching it on TV didn't help matters either. I would venture to say there will be more WHS fans in Sawmills tonight then were at the home game.

    Also tonight GO Rockets pull an upset an force a three way for first.

    WHS 61
    SC 54

    WHS moves to 5-2 in the league, and I think 12-6 overall. Zach Greene with 25 or 27 or some such large number. Watauga, playing without leading scorer Seth Moore, improves to 4-0 on the road in league play.

    McDowell improves to 6-1 in conference play. The Titans will travel to Boone for a key NW4A matchup on Friday.

    So, what has happened to SC? I thought they were supposed to steamroll over everyone in the league this year, with the great new coach that they hired to replace the one that was run off. How long before this one gets the boot too?
