Two Techs do not automatically equal an ejection. It's up to the official and the official ruled Coached Rogers was disqualified and removed from that game. He is not suspended and will not have to pay a fine. Most people do not understand this rule. It's the same as soccer and someone getting cards.

the rule for coaches is 2 direct tech or 3 indirect tech and the coach is ejected. i wasn`t there and have no clue who was calling,but as a ref my self i can tell you that our booking agent can`t put all the ""goodrefs"" all in the same games. we have alot of refs this year that are hurt and the younger guys and gals are having to fill in . calling bball isnt very easy and i wish evryone could try it sometime!

 

He might have said some bad things, but for the ref to stand in front of the scorestable and call a technical, then not give the coach a chance to talk to him, and call another one a second later is ridiculous. You have to call that foul at the end. Plain and simple. I don't blame Rogers one bit for going out on the court to argue.

 

I dont feel coach Rogers was in the wrong one bit.The fact was the refs were not consistent all night and freedom had 2 players get hammered on that play and nothing was called.at the end of the first half a touch foul was called.As far as coach rogers cussing the refs ive asked the assistants and everyone near the bench and they said coach didnt say one bad word to the refs.I know coach Rogers personally and hes a class act and all he was doing was taking up for his players as any good coach would do.there may have been some language said by the fans but i dont see coach doing that one bit.BTW he is not suspended for any games cause they ruled it a dq not an ejection.I not blaming the refs at all cause if we take care of business we win this game but we didnt and it wouldnt have mattered.and on another note ill tip my hat to watuga for a hard fought win.

Thanks for the video. In my opinion Jack Huss is a terrible ref. Nothing to do with him giving Coach Rogers 2 T's. He use to be a decent ref years ago, but he gets worse every year.

I also saw on the news clip where Watauga will be getting a new high school. Where will the new school be located. That is great news for Boone.

You're right. Kinda hard to ignore and not call the second when he had to go to the scorer's table to report the first one, but what do I know. I don't officiate basketball and never will so who am I to judge. I have called football and baseball for many years and have no desire to call basketball. Hats off to anyone that takes on that resposibility.

One thing I will say about the official's partners. It could have been disfused if they were over there to calm the coach down. I really think they had no clue whatsoever about what was going on.

Let's move on.... the situation has been handled and is over.... ON WITH THE SEASON!!!!
