Post your thought here and scores. I think Watauga has a decent chance as any against ACR. They are not exactly up to ACR standards. Hopefully WHS will steal one tonight.

    McDowell @ East Burke
    Freedom @ South Caldwell
    AC Reynolds @ Watauga

McDowell beat East Burke by about 20. I believe the score was 83-63. Washington had another 30+ game.

Freedom beat SC by 10 or 12. Much closer game than the final score indicates. It was a 4 point game with about 2 minutes to go and if SC had shot at least 60% from the free throw line they would have been ahead. Ford for the most part was held in check more thsn the box score will show. Most of her points came from the free throw line as SC had to foul her a lot at the end.

what reporter doesn't tell ya is that FHS was up 15 at halftime and that shows how much better they are than SC... 3rd Q was a disaster due to some poor play choices and SC turned 2nd half into a foul fest-and alot of those were cheap and hard fouls- their plan looked to be foul Ford hard and often. Offiicials could have controlled this and it would have been a 20+ win, when they don't things tighten and u just want to leave with a win. Both post players for FHS fouled out on charges or touch fouls. FHS is a little soft right NOW.

What dribbles doesn't tell you is in the first quarter SC WAS ahead in the game. Yea Freedom is better than SC this year but almost everyone is. SC is down this year after graduating 4 syarters last year. It will take them 2 or 3 years to build back up but they have a lot of young players that are very good coming in the next few years

last nights game in no way indicates how good freedom is.this team has work hard to be 13-1 and 3-0 in the conference.they play as a team, yeah they didnt play well last but the bottom line is freedom won and as tough as it is to win at south caldwell i will take one anyway i can.

    A win is a win

What seems to be missing in all these post is the fact that the final score is what matters. If a team totally dominates another and still loses the record will show a loss.. everything else is just sour grapes. Its tough to see your team play a great game and lose but something had to happed for them to lose the game and sometimes good teams just find a way to pull it out. Down the road no one is going to remember how close a game was but the record never lies! Instead of beating one another up on what should have, would have, ect, why dont you comment on how good someone played or the heart a team showed. That will go alot farther than a comment on a half-time score or the like. But that just my take for what its worth.

unfortunatley I don't see 2-3 yrs enough...Hobbs is the last decent player that is coming thru for a while looking at the JV's I saw there yesterday(and those up) ...Where FHS played alot of that game with 1 frosh, & 4 sophs , most of the time -the 1 senior was in foul trouble.
