The softball community lost a wonderful coach/father today. Jeff Pace, North Davidson / Carolina Attitude coach lost his battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) today. Our hearts go out to his daughters Carson & Haley as well as wife Jennifer. Jeff was a friend to all. He was one of the best coaches to ever step on the field. He will be missed but NEVER forgotten. He was a true inspiration.

    He fought the good fight

What a blessing Jeff was to me. Everytime I saw him out and about he was smiling.
He, along with his family were so strong throughout his ordeal. I am glad I had the opportunity to have known him as a friend. I will surely miss him but plan to see him again one day. Rest in peace my friend.

Through Jeff Pace and his family I have learned about Strength. The Strength it takes to always keep working no matter what Life gives you. Each day that I came to practice he inspired me to find a way to help make our team better. When he no longer could speak he wrote it on a pad for the kids to understand what he wanted out of them never looking for excuses. Watching games and taking them in only to tell them how to get it right. All this by communicating by whatever he needed to do. He always had a Big Smile on his face whenever the conversation was about his own girls or the ones who played for him,us,or against us. He did so all the way up to today. Myself, our Coaches, our Players, and our Community at North has truly been Blessed by Jeff and his Family to show us what the true meaning of the word STRENGTH is. I also know he is coaching at this very moment and will be walking with and watching us everyday.

My thoughts and prayers for the Pace and North Davidson family. I got a call yesterday morning telling me about what was happening. God has been busy yesterday.

Prayers and thoughts with the Pace and North Davidson family. Both are 1st class and an example of how our game can impact much more than sports.

I coached with (never really against) Jeff since our girls were 8. He was a great coach, but more importantly a great man. He was an inspiration on and off the field. My team and I are honored to have known and competed against him. May he rest in peace.
