good article about one of my favorite all time Ragsdale players. JK was an awesome player at Ragsdale. Always got clutch hits and was once of the best defensive catchers I've seen at the high school level. Loved to watch him pick runners off first base and rarely did a ball get by him. He made every pitcher better. Really glad to see he is excelling at UNC-A. (edit -dadgum Wossa, are you trying to get me in trouble)

and glad to see another Ragsdale product - Chad Baker having a great soph. season at Catawba batting .313 with 7 HRs and 36 RBIs. Also has a 2.57 ERA doing spot relief duty. Most consistent player I've ever seen - he pitched better in the 7th inning than he did in the 2nd inning and ALWAYS got the key out or clutch hit when his team needed it.

JK is still the best defensive player I have seen. What makes him so good is the way he would control a game. It was like having a coach out on the field. He also was very good in controlling pitchers. He knew their makeup.

It's great to see that he is still recognized for his talents

i was fortunate enough to coach J K in the state games. great player but also a great person. it is refreshing to see some of the guys continue to be successful. J K being one of the many that deserve all the good things that come his way. state games may have been one of the best coaching experiences i have had in 20 + years.
