    No, but my ears normally start to bleed when he begins pontificating.

    Did he happen to mention how good he and the Big Red Machine were?

    I basically call him & Tim McCarver "wanna be coaches". They are always right in second guessing. I will not listen to either one of them.

    One of Joe's latest gems was in his discussion of alphonso soriano... where he stated he believed it was easier to take a free swinger and teach them patience at the plate... I wonder how much of it is solely based on his hatred for Bill James et all who called him a "self absorbed little prick" in THE HISTORICAL BASEBALL ABSTRACT.

    For a guy who was patient and drew a lot of free passes in front of RBI machines like Bench, Foster and Perez he surely hates the idea of working a walk.

    McCarver is the worst....EVER.

    It's probably been batted around here before, bit I think Tim McCarver is the worst in the history of broadcasting baseball...or any other sport for that matter. He is an insult to the intelligence of any reasonably knowledgable baseball fan and he is often just plain wrong. His statements are often so basic that they are unnecessary and it just drives me crazy to listen to all of his wacko commentary. I think Joe Buck is great and he seems to be OK with McCarver. The hair-dying is ridiculous, too!

    ESPN should bring back Harold Reynolds for LLWS. He says what he thinks but does not act like he knows it all. He seemed to really relate well with the kids too. He really seems to love the game.

    What about Herchiser?

    I happen to like his commentary. Occasionally he serves up some insightful thoughts on pitching strategy and techniques. At least it seems he avoids the wacky simple stuff McCarver serves up.....

    I love Hersheiser and Reynolds. They teach the game without being condescending. Orel is great in his pitching advice and Harold can cover everything else.

    Another thing I like about Harold Reynolds is he does it with enthusiasm and a love for the game.:acclaim:

    By far my favorite duo was Harold Reynolds and John Kruk when they hosted Baseball Tonight. Both were insightful and fun to listen to!
