Gonna be a fun one tonight at Green Hope HS. Bring your hiking shoes because the parking lot is a good ways from the ballfield.

Rocky Mount (14-3) @ Cary Post 67 (37-7) -- Winner advances to Eastern Championship starting Saturday at USA Baseball Complex.

    Rowan 13 Kernersville 10

Jaime Blalock pitched a great game
Preston Troutman may be out for a few games with an injured ankle

Game was not as close as score indicates, Rowan was up by over 5 most of the game.

Great game on the mound by Rocky Mount's Benton Moss. He stayed ahead all game and just threw one bad pitch that ended in defeat. Joe Pistacchio of Cary (Green Hope '10) hit a 2-run walk off bomb in the bottom of the 7th. Each team had their share of "bloops" tonight and made a few mistakes, but that's how this game works.

On the mound for Cary, Jake Milinichick (Apex '09) got the start and Adam Bogoshian (Green Hope '10) picked up the win in relief. Cary, like last night, sent a number of P's to the mound in preparation for the weekend. All pitchers for the Bulls pitched last night or tonight except for two. And those two got work in the 'pen this evening.

Great game, lots of excitement and emotion from both sides. I have a feeling these two will see each other again on a bigger stage.

And Congratulations to the our guys for finishing the Area I West playoffs undefeated. The Bulls enter the Eastern Qualifier with a record of 38-7, and what I enjoy most... a pitching staff that will be rested and ready.
