GTCC lost 2 games to Spart- Meth. 4-3 and 3-0.GTCC pitching did a good job this weekend as well as their defense.Meth just better on offense and also did a good job on the mound.

 

Dallas Poulk.......

...is true red, black and white, NCSU! Make no mistake folks, this guy is the real deal. Dallas is a sophomore at NCSU. He graduated from Pine Forest HS in Fayettville, NC. As a freshman, my man was 1st team all america by collegiate baseball magazine, and, no slander, 2nd team all america voted by the guru of all gurus, Baseball America. As a freshman, Dallas, and I quote from "gopack.com", led every possible offense category period. I saw him play Sunday, bam error, rum scores to tie the game vs. Va., up comes Poulk with a bomb HR to right that is still rolling, 3-2 pack. Oh and the final score, NCSU 4 Va. 2, ....yep another HR to seal the deal by Poulk!

 

We were discussing Drew Poulk, I believe. I may have the name mixed up. He was at UNC, now is at a school in Florida. Thanks for the update though on NC State. I was wondering how they had been doing this season. Been reading that they haven't been doing too well, so it's good to hear they are winning.

 

GTCC lost today 6-5 to Surry. GTCC played well and pitched well again. Just cannot get abreak and beat the good teams in Region X. The second game was rained out.

 

To be a first year team, GTCC is doing well just competing in Region X w/ teams like Surry, SMC, Pitt, etc. Who all are some of the players playing at GTCC?

And also, did King pitch for Surry? If so, how did he look?

 

GTCC split with Surry today.Lost 13-3 and won 12-0. King looked good.I do not beleive he was 90 but I did not have a gun. He has alot going for him. Some of the players for GTCC are Brad Isom,Brint Hanes, Josh Weaver,Casey Smith,Chad Hockaday,Kyle Boyan,Brandon Mckinneyand Miles Pearl.

BRCC vs Pitt CC

Pitt swept 4 from us in Winterville. Pitt is the best team we have seen so far in Region X. We played about as bad as you can play. We were playing good "D" going into the weekend and hitting pretty good. This weekend we could not do anything right. Mainly we beat ourselves pretty bad. I am not taking anything away from Pitt because like I said they are the best team from region X we have seen. We have not seen Louisburg but Pitt took 3 of 4 from them. We should have maybe pulled out a couple of wins this weekend but when we made mistakes Pitt made us pay. That's what the good teams do.


As for our bad hitting I give alot of credit to the Pitt pitchers. I'm just saying that we are not as bad as we played this weekend. They also have a beautiful baseball field.

 

What did Justice do for BRCC? Also, how did Chissenhal (spelling) play?

Yes, Pitt does have a nice facility down there!
