What is the format for the western playoffs? It seems to be different from the east as I see some threads talking about "series". In the east, we have Conference playoffs, where two teams move on to Division playoffs, where two teams move on to an Eastern Qualifier where 5 teams make it to the State Championships. Also noticed that of the eight teams that make it to Cary for the States, 5 are from the east and 3 from the west. Just curious.

    Junior Playoff

ncsu82, in the west the teams are seated 1 - 16, with a 1 seat playing a 16. They play the best of 5 series. I don't know about 5 teams from the east and 3 from the west making the state playoffs? I believe the state tournament is held in Cary this year? They would get an automatic bid, right?

    Cary

Cary is 16-6, having scored 100 more runs then they have allowed.

    5 vs. 3
I think it's just a matter of more Jr. Legion teams in the East.

    Answer to the question.

There are alot more teams down on the East side of the state. Area 3/4 will get 2 playoff spots at Cary. The other 6 spots will come from the Area 1/2 conferences. Area 4 has 8 teams and will play 1-8,2-7,3-6,4-5. Area 3 has 16, I think and will play a similar type play-off. We are playing best out of 5. Win or go home, last 2 standing are on their way to Cary. Hope this helps you out.:woohoo:
