Curtis Ward pitched a two-hitter with no walks as Rowan County beat Carson 10-0 in five innings Thursday.

Luke Thomas had three hits and five RBIs to lead Rowan's offense. Thomas ended the game via the 10-run rule with a fifth-inning, walk-off single. Jamey Blalock homered. Blalock and Will Sapp had two hits each.
Rowan (16-4, 10-2) travels to Greenville, S.C., for a wood bat showcase tournament at USC Upstate.

Good ball game. NC started slow, got down 3 or 4 to 0, Tarboro ran into some trouble in the 5th, giving up 5/6 runs. Down 9-6 late, Spiers Miller (he is a player) hits a homer, but not enough- rally killed late to fall.

    WP Hendricks, LP Johnson.

Have a big conference game saturday @ Williamston, then 6 games over 4 days (2 DH'ers) next week. Will be tough.

    Tarboro 10-7, 5-1 conference.

Nash Central drops to (11-5). This could be the game that kills Nash Central's playoff shot!!
