Junior Legion scores week of June 22-28...

    We play Benson in a DH on June 30th and the Cary Colts on July 3rd.

    6/25 Oxford 10 South Hill, Va. 7
    Broke open a 4-4 tie in 6th with 6 runs. Ryan Allen 3 hits, Andy Richmond 2 hits including a HR, and Will Bullock 2 hits, with Trey Talley, Joel Adcock (3B), and Cory Hicks with a hit each. Geoff Cash got win with Ty Breedlove with save.

    21-5 overall 8-1 conf.
    6/28 at Rocky Mount
    6/29 vs. Colonial Heights, Va. (DH)

    Mooresville beats Stanly 8-0.K.Little picks up the win with a outstanding outing. Mooresville plays at home againts S.Rowan Friday at 7.

    Rocky Mount 7 Oxford 6

    Rocky Mount scores first 4 runs with 2 outs in 1st ,2nd, and 3rd innings. Two costly Oxford errors in the 4th and 5th led to 2 more runs. Oxford scores 4 in 6th on a RM error to pull within 1, but does not get a base runner on in 7th to pressure RM. RM had 9 hits led by Helms with 2 including a 2B. Also winning pitcher, with May getting save. Oxford 10 hits led by Geoff Cash with 3, Ryan Allen (2B) andTrey Talley with 2 each, and Andy Richmond (2B),Joel Adcock, and Patrick Whitt with 1 each. 8th grader Stephen Hill pitched well in relief of starter Will Bullock.

    21-6 overall
    8-1 conf.

    Wayne County cancelled and the Bulls will play the Cary Colts in a DH today at Green Hope HS.
