I just heard from a friend that the softball coach for patton has resigned. Word is that he was forced out like the womens BB coach.
Sounds like a trend at patton....

I believe it drew kids from Freedom but most of the ball players stayed at Freedom.

    Forced Out

I know him very well. He was definitely forced out. This is an absolute shame. He was told that there were complaints because he was too tough on the girls and had too high expectations. Then they didn't see eye to eye on some other things. I don't know what they are trying to do over there. They better be careful or they won't be able to keep or get any good coaches. He definitely was a good coach and could have built a good program there. I have heard a lot of bad about Patton, and not much good. Here is another one of those instances.

Patton will never be able to build a program in anything if they keep doing this.He was too hard on them.BOO HOO.Coaches should be hard on their players especailly when u know aint gonna have that good of a team and u know u have to build a team from the ground up.I know Patton folks like to put the blame on Freedom but it is not any of the coaches faults there that the kids wanted to stay there.I would do the same thing.Look at how much Thad Fox has turned the Freedom Softball program around and you will see why they wanted to stay there plus it also had alot to do with the principal there. From what i hear from people, she is real hard to get alone with and thats why some of the kids wanted to stay at Freedom.Trust me if Patton keeps changing coaches like this kids are going to lose interest in playing and no longer play or they will transfer somewhere else to play.

and some people wonder why they can't get a good coach at their school. If a coach has to be concerned that parents have the ear of the administrators, it's time to move on. This is a sad story and a blackeye to HS softball.
