    West Forsyth 6-0

    Dustin Myers (3-0) has pitched 17 innings, 3 one-hitters, 42 k's, 6 walks
    also .500+ hitter with 2HR

Not sure weather or not he will be pitching vs Watagua (non-conference) but that will be his rotation day!! Could be fun to watch!!!

Why is Myers not on varsity. It sounds like hes good enough to be unless WF's varsity is very strong. How hard does he throw?

West Varsity (2nd in state) has 3 returning starters and 3 others from JV.

He throws low 80's but his offspeed pitches (3 of them) are sick!

Tyler Coyle also pitches for West JV low 80's with numerous pitches.
    10 innings 24 k's and 8 walks....pitched a no hitter vs East Forsyth
Both are Sophs that could play on some varsity teams.
3 Freshman have gotten innings and have k'ed over 1/2 they faced!!!!

Nick McBride also a soph is on the Varsity pitching staff.

PS: John Stamper has been the CPC ALL CONFERENCE CF since 2004, and has it locked up this year too!!!

    Watauga vs West Forsyth

Watauga beat West Forsyth today 9-2 and swung the sticks all day. Neither team pitched their ace. Watauga jumped out to an early lead 3-0 in the first and just kept pounding from there.

Dustin Myers went 2-3 with a double, a strikeout, and a walk.

Trey Lowder for Watauga went 2-3 with two doubles.

Watauga got a big win today and turned alot of heads with this one sided win.

Crest is off to an 8-0 start. This could be a very special group.

West Lost to Watauga 9-2. Watauga's bats were outstanding. I would have loved for the ACES to pitch against one another to see how it turned out. West made some poor baserunning decisions and had 3 long ball turn foul. However, if you play Watauga you better score some runs to win.

West Beat North Davidson 6-5 in a tight one.
Tyler Coyle picked up the win
Myers (ACE) had the save --

Myers will pitch in the City-County Monday at Reagan.

Write-up on the WHS-West Forsyth game, featuring comments from Will Dicus

Here's a link to the inspiring effort from Dicus in Saturday's game. Nice job by the writer, Steve Behr of the Watauga Democrat, but he did credit Ben Roberts with the catch and throw home for the double play that killed a West rally. It was rightfielder Trey Lowder who caught the ball and doubled up the West runner.

Mount Tabor has a ton of talent and should be a strong team this year.
