    Mooresville FB Tequilis Knox was a stud and back up QB Nathan Abraham filled in at HB for Mooresville and even nailed a pair of extra points on the night. But the Blue Devil defense gets the game ball in my opinion. After being dealt some crummy cards via turn-overs, they held the Warriors scoreless on four plays inside the Devil 10 in the fourth quarter. West Iredell has talent and is well coached. If this JV game is any indication of who they are, we are in for a battle tomorrow.
    W. Iredell Varsity (6-0) also made its debut in this weeks Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 poll at #16. But their weak schedule has some wondering if they're worthy of such a ranking.

    Mooresville is having a down year though and has only won twice (2-4) over S. Rowan and Statesville, both at 0-6 on the season.
