The Providence JV Baseball teams nine game winning streak came to a halt at the hands of Weddington today by a score of 3-0. Weddington limited the Panthers to five scattered hits, took advantage of Panther mistakes and used timely hitting to seal the victory. The Panthers lone highlight was an outstanding run saving catch by right fielder Teddy Shonts that turned into an inning-ending double-play. :banginghe

    South Caldwell @ WHS

    S. Caldwell 3
    Watauga 7

    W-Dunnigan
    L-Penny

Watauga hands South its first conference loss (6-1) and improves to 5-2. Watauga had 13 hits, though several were of the swinging bunt variety.

Alexander Central's JVs were 5-1 at the halfway point, so things are tight at the top. Did Alexander play tonight? Score?

    Providence 11 Myers Park 1

PHS JV jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first and never looked back as they resumed their winning ways by defeating Myers Park 11-1 in five innings. Teddy Shonts had a strong outing on the mound and Kyle Stetson, Eric Semeniuk and Corey Smith had multiple hit games leading the offense. Providence moves to 10-1 on the season
