    Myers Park over Hopewell

    Wed - 4/5

Myers Park JV traveled to Hopewell and came away with a big victory - 12-0 in five innings. Winning pitcher was Carter Phillips (jr); losing pitcher was Scott Weynand (fr). Myers Park had strong hitting across the lineup - don't know all the names and particulars, but do know the Mustang hitting attack was led by Robert Balsley (fr), who had two big hits, along with two walks (in his first game back in several weeks due to injury). Phillips kept the Titan bats off- balance the entire game, allowing only three hits by Hopewell (Tyler Auten (fr), Rusty White (sph) and Aaron Seagroves (sph). The big margin of victory could also be attributed to several defensive miscues on the part of the young Titans, while the Mustangs continued to show solid defense throughout the game.

Cody, not the way (if I was a teammate) I would want my starting pitcher talking after a lose. Do you really think that talking that way about their defense is going to get them to want to back you up when you are on the mound? Wouldn't complain about the umpires as well, you are a pitcher, and you want ALL the help you can get, and that also includes the men in blue. Crap hits are part of the game, same as line drives that find someones glove, just be careful what you say and how you act on the mound, you are the leader and example setter when you are there. Your a talented player, don't let the mistakes that happen around you show through.:ylsuper:

Thanks, you are right. I blamed the wrong people we win and lose as a team. I was frustrated at the time. Ive been told it's ok to make mistakes as long as you don't make the same one's over and over.

    Providence 12 Olympic 0

Providence defeats Olympic in 5 innings. Richie Shaffer pitched 4 innings of no hit ball and Jordan Fuller closed out the 5th allowing only one hit. Kyle Stetson, Eric Semeniuk, Eddie Covert, and C A Clayton had multiple hit games for the Panthers who move to 11-1 on the season. Next up is a huge game against arch-rival South Meck on Thursday.

    Charlotte Christian @ East Gaston

    CCS - 8
    East Gaston - 4

Andy Clifford went the distance for the win - 6 hits, 1 walk, 8 strike outs, 2 earned runs. David Borelli and Chris James with fielding gems and big hits. Balanced attack and good base running for CCS.

Knights go to 9-1 on the season.

    Hopewell over North Meck

    4/10/06 - Hopewell 5 North Meck 3

    WP - Chandler Lyles

Well played ball game by both teams. Both starting pitchers - Lyles for Hopewell (threw a complete game) and Pope for North Meck, threw well. The young Titans win came from the key hits by Tyler Auten (hr), Aaron Seagroves, Rusty White, Tony Hughes and Scott Weynand. The 2nd matchup in a couple of weeks should be exciting.

    WHS @ Freedom

    Watauga 4
    Freedom 0

Watauga needed a solo home run and 4 straight hits with two outs in the 6th to FINALLY get on the board, plating all of their runs in the last frame.

    W-Moore
    L-Dyson

Watauga moves to 6-2 in the conference.

How did the Alexander-A.C. Reynolds game turn out?
