    NW4A JV Race

    I think it's a two-dog hunt.

    S. Caldwell lost to Watauga and Alexander lost to South--but each team only has that one loss that I know of. South escaping an upset against Freedom and Watauga's extra-inning, one-run loss to the Rockets ensured that it will come down to these two, barring something unforeseen.

Further back Watauga is 7-3 and Reynolds is 6-4.

Can anyone post South and Alexander's definite records?

    E. Burke @ Watauga

    E. Burke 1
    Watauga 5

Same score as the varsity game.

Moore (4-0) went the distance for Watauga.

    Providence 3 Butler 10

The Butler Bulldogs took a big bite out of the Panthers tonight as Butler's Tyler Tewell was a one man wrecking crew pitching 5 innings and hitting 2 HR's including a grand slam. Providence drops to 13-3.:banginghe

East Forsyth and NW Guilford were playing a double header at East Forsyth tonight

    Game 1
    NW Guilford 8
East Forsyth 9 Final 13 innings

This was one wail of a ball game....Ryan Dull starter for East Forsyth threw 11innings and gave up 5 of the 8 runs in the 1st inning. He was also 4 for 5 at the plate and knocked in the tying run in the bottom of the 6th. Stephen Mizzi came in relief of Dull in the 12th and got the win
NW Guilford and East Forsyth will be the teams to watch in the coming years of the Metro 4A...NW Guilford was 16-1 coming into the double header today...NW Guilford's leadoff man was on base pretty much every at bat...the kid was unstoppable....this will be 2 teams to watch in the next 2 or 3 years

    Game 2
    NW Guilford 5
    East Forsyth 0 Final/5
no details....I imagine both teams were pretty worn out after the first game

    Hopewell over JM Robinson

    Friday-4/28 - Hopewell JV - 9 JM Robinson JV - 2

    WP - Jon Fisher

The Titans were strong on pitching, defense and hitting in this game. Fisher allowed only 4 hits in 6 innings. Leading hitters were Rusty White 3/4; Scott Weynand 2/3; and Tony Hughes 2/4. Hopewell JV wrapped up the conference with this win, remaining undefeated in the Meca-6, with only one more conference game to go (vs. North Meck on Thursday).....should be a another great matchup between the two teams.
