    Kannapolis-10 over Rowan-2

Wow! Yes the Kannapolis legion team seems to be much stronger and deeper this year. There was a lot of talent sitting on that bench last night. And pitching? Again wow! The pitching starts with Mr.Ward who was being clocked by a Univ.South Carolina coach last night consistently between 91-94. In fact, Zach was still throwing 91 in the 9th inning. Then add "somebody" :D named Lucas Dalton,,, then Goodman, Sherrill, Mead, Ketner, Patterson. It all adds up to a pretty decent year for Post 501. I guess what surprised me was the depth on this team also. This team definitely has some options, giving Coach Osborne the ability to rest guys when the long stretches of games comes along. Good healthy competition for playing time will only help the team also.

Btw, who was the new kid, the starting DH? I understand he played ball at Anderson Jr.College. Anyway, he seemed to hit the ball pretty good. Its always nice to get a pretty good surprise (transfer-in) also. Good Luck guys. the Wufman.

his name is marcus smith, he is a pretty big kid and hits the ball well. Not sure wat the set rotation is yet, i know mead is pitching today against ashboro(non-league game), lucas is pitching wednesday against montgomery(league game), and sherrill is going saturday against wilks county(league game).

todays game against ashboro he plans to play a lot of people and rest some of the starters, and pitch several diff pitchers to get some work in for games later on since this is not a league game

As I said about three weeks ago.....look for Kannapolis to go about 15-3 in league games. This should get them a #1 or #2 seed in area III.If they catch a few breaks their league record could even be better than 15-3.This team looks ready to make a state title run.

Look for Mooresville to have a very good ballclub also.Kannapolis plays Mooresville four times...2 league and 2 non league games. These should be good games.Don't miss them.
