Kannapolis looked like the team that was ranked #1, looked like the team playing at home and looked like the team with all the swagger. And they jumped all over the W. Rowan Falcons leaving NO doubt who the better team was.

The Wonders fumbled on their opening drive but held WR to a field goal, 3-0 WR. But they answered right back when Wonder QB Fortson raced 78 yds. for a score. Then Kannapolis got another quick score when Cano(sp?) returned a WR fumble 19 yds to push the score to 14-3 in favor of Kannapolis and thats how the first quarter went. The second quarter was a stalemate and Ktown led 14-3 at the half.
WR seemed to want some of Kannapolis as both teams came onto the field just before the second half kickoff but it was all show as the Wonder defense got a three-and-out. Bobby Ratliff scooted 9 yds. for Ktown to push the score to 21-3 and the game was slipping away from the Falcons. W. Rowan HB Wade Moore went end over end as he finished a 10 yd. run to make the score 21-10 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter WR threw an interception on a HB pass and Kannapolis had the ball at mid-field but WR held. A fumbled punt by the Falcons gave the Wonders the ball in excellent field position and Fowler scooted into the end zone to make the score 28-10. Kannapolis got another late score after WR went for it on 4th down and turned the ball over again. Final score.......34-10 and the AL Brown Wonders will play in the 3AA West Regional Finals for a shot to play in the 3AA State Championship game.

great job..VI...anyone know what they did to the West player for going after some Brown fans in the end zone after AL Brown put up the 34th point...I was going to the other end of the field when the police was escorting him off the field?

HATS OFF TO K-TOWN.... They beat a West team who apparently did not want to win. Im not taking ANYTHING away from Brown, but West just didnt seem to show up tonight... I think the 14-3 hole was a new concept to west and they didnt know how to climb out. Both those TD's were,... well I dont know if botched plays is the right call but close. the players and staff at Brown did their homework and it showed and paid off. The player was #32... not sure of the name, and I hate when fans try to start stuff with players. They didnt do anything to the player, he said they threw something at him... It's ridiculous. You can't blame this loss on the refs casue they're were very few bad calls and they went both ways, it was a matter of heart! I still have a share of that record of being the only team to ever beat brown, and I had hoped this would be the team to break it. Congrats K-town and good luck, and CONGRATS FALCONS ON AN OUTSTANDING RECORD BREAKING YEAR!!!

    Notable Quotes:

"You can get the headlines the first part of the year and not be playing in December. We're playing good at the right time of year."

West was playing fine until Friday, when the Wonders (13-1) improved their all-time record to 14-1 against their old NPC rival.

Said Moore: "Some great things happened this year to make me more of a man and set me up for the rest of my life." :trophy:

I had the opportunity to coach Wade Moore 1 summer as a 14 year old in baseball. Everyone told me i was crazy to take him on because of his attitude.. He didnt let me down and i'm very proud of him as a baseball player and a football player. He was already headed to being a good man back then..

I would have loved to hear the call on the radio TOUCHDOWN K TOWN

just from cruising the sidelines at West last week, they seemed awful overconfident. Granted, they were playing Burns, but they talked a lot of trash down there.
