    Northwest Cabarrus-8 over Central Cabarrus-1

Both starting pitchers pitched shutout ball in this game for the first 6 innings, when all of a sudden the wheels literally came off for Central in bottom of 6th and NW rallied to score 8 runs. Central scored one in top of 7th for final 8-1 score. Winning pitcher was Matt Moriano, sorry didn't get the Central pitcher's name, but props to him too.

Tuesday night 7pm finals set: North Meck vs. Northwest Cabarrus

3rd place game at 4pm: JM Robinson vs. Central Cabarrus

Chris Presnell was on the mound for Central. He had a good game but one bad inning did them in.

Hopefully the Trojans can keep the bats warmed up for tonight. I think they have been slated to play North Meck for the past couple of years but rain put a damper on that. Looks like it is just going to be kinda cool tonight and no need for an umbrella.

Overcash pitched well. He located his fastball to keep the North Meck hitters off balance. He was effective with the high FB and worked both sides of the plate. The NM hitters struggled with his curveball that went for occasional strikes and did a great job of throwing his change down and away.

North looked flat, hopefully they will come out fired up for South tomorrow.

    Congratulations NW Cabarrus

In all honesty, Ryan Overcash's pitching performance last night had a lot to do with how North Meck looked. If Ryan keeps throwing like he did last night, he's going to have a successful spring/summer and future.

Congrats to both teams and good luck rest of year.
