Not bad for small town...

Since 2005, Kannapolis American Legion has 4 former legion baseball alumni drafted in the Major League Baseball draft:

2005: Zach Ward (Gardner-Webb, by Cincy 3rd round)
2007: Brett Bartles (Duke, by Cincy 30th round)
2008: Garrett Sherrill (App.St., by Brewers 12th round)
2009: Kyle Seager (UNC, by Mariners 3rd round)

With so many other talented players around these 4 (too many to list),,, its pretty easy to figure out how Kannapolis Legion won Area 3 titles and went to state tournaments in 2003, 2004 and 2006. Pretty impressive for a small town, not to mention a legion program that gets all of its players from just 2 high schools.
