Kannapolis wins opener in state tournament

    Z.Ward gets the win.Pitched 8 innings and gave up 2 unearned runs.Pitcher for Snow Hill (he pitched for Old Dominion last year)threw well for Snow Hill.Not sure of his name,but he pitched about 7 decent innings.

    Garrett Sherrill piched the 9th for Post 501.

    Kannapolis faces the winner of Cherryville-Hope Mill at 4:00PM saturday.

    Ward had a shutout going in the 8th inning,but a throwing error let 2 runs score for Snow Hill to make it 4-2.Kannapolis scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th to put the game away.
