It was a great effort by both Providence and AK. Both teams hit the long ball. Give credit to the young, scrappy AK team with 14 hits to Providences 10 (according to Providence's scoreboard). Looking forward to this rivalry for years to come.

Congratulations to both teams, I have never seen so many home runs in one game. Home runs for Providence players - Mailman, Shaffer, Clayton, Kiser. AK players - Nyenhuis, Pasut, Stetson. What a game.

I know I am gonna get hammered for this. But you all think Butler is that good? We played them to a tie in a scrimmage, yes I know it was a scrimmage, but we were missing 5 starters. Played them with essentially our JV team. And we are just a little old 2A school. Tell me why they are considered to be one of the top teams in the Charlotte area? I need to be educated.

Please post it in a new thread. I believe all of us would like to know more about Butler.

I'll say this, Mudcat, I don't know what team you saw, but Butler is pretty good. I just wish I knew more about them.

Mudcat, the key word you used was scrimmage....5-0 in this conference should speak for it self...Scrimmages are just for that purpose..Letting some kids play and get looked at...No hammering intended, but Butler has beaten AK, Weddington, South Meck, Myers Park, North Meck twice, and Independence.... Call it what you like... Would you like that schedule??
I think right now, its a little hard to argue that concerning a scrimmage weeks ago.....No offense intended....
