Tonight Ashbrook (10-0) plays at East Gaston (8-2) in conference action. If Ashbrook can defeat East Gaston they will be assured of a first palce finish in the Big South 3A. However, if Ashbrook loses to East Gaston, then Friday night's matchup at Forestview (6-4) will be huge for the Greenwave. Neither East Gaston or Forestview are intimidated by Ashbrook because these kids have played with and against eachother since Little League Allstars.

Ashbrook's challenge is to run the table in it's last four conference games, securing home field advantage in the playoffs and becoming the first team in Big South history to make it through conference play undefeated. Very lofty goals for the Greenwave!

Thanks SouthLoop. This looks right, but I know I don't have all the results. This sets us up for quite a race over the next two weeks.

Yeah, Braves. I'm real worried about that magic over on Monroe. Make sure your South boys don't get overcome by that stuff over there on Thursday. I got a rabbit's foot you can take along with you if you want.

BTW, great story on the other night. You gotta let me know who your ghostwriter is -- that guy sure can write! :D

This game has major implications in the SW4A race. Equally intriguing is the Providence/North Meck matchup scheduled for 6:30 tonight. It's nice to see a late season non-conference matchup as teams tune up for the playoffs.

    In the NPC3A

    Friday, 4/30

    AL Brown (9-3) @ E. Rowan (8-3)

Second place in the conference behind West Rowan is at stake, along with the guaranteed playoff spot for the second seed.
