Sitting at the office today and just one of those times in your life when everything is going on and nothing is going right. Can't sleep and just can't get one of those cheerful looks on my face. Thinking about college tuition, bills, work, and everything that could go wrong is way beyond that.

My son (17 years old) walks up to me and gives me a small box, wrapped up. I asked him what is that for and he said just because I love you. I opened it up and it was a paper weight in the shape of a baseball bat and the logo said, " Behind every little league swing, and every big-league dream, there's a dad." Suddenly, it felt like the weight of the world was lifted and nothing else mattered. Sometimes your kids say and do things and you just have to sit back and smile and know that somewhere along the line, you did something right, and at that fleeting moment in time, they were actually listening to you and paying attention. pet:

You certainly are doing the right things. You are raising a great kid!!

Kudo's to you :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

It's been my experience that your kids listen to pretty much everything you say. It's just that they store it up and don't use it until later.....like when they have kids and say the same things to them that you said to him.

    Good job, Kevin!!!!

    ?????

And you're just now figuring out what we've all known for a long time???
You've got a great kid. Tall, handsome, tremendously respectful and a pretty darn good baseball player. Must come from his momma's side!:clapclap:

A great young man from a great family. Kevin, enjoy this last year that you have him home. We sent ours of to school about 30 minutes ago and I'm already missing him. Time goes by way to fast.
