King and His court coming to Gastonia

    The King and His Court is coming to Hunter Huss High School on Saturday, May 7th at 1:30pm to preform in one of the last stops of their final tour. I will be putting details up as they pop up, but i know tickets are $8.00 presale and $10.00 at the door. This game will benefit the Strike Out Hunger, as proceeds will go to the local food bank...a noble cause. Guest appearances are in order, and will be announced as they commit.

    come see these guys, they are awesome.....plus Cd is playing, so this should be great

    CD says he would love to see Chief pitch in this game, along with some of the "tough guys" from the hs teams......Monte, Lambros,Rick??????? come on!!!! show us your stuff...

    I umpired for a charity game in Kannapolis with the King and his Court behind the plate back in the early 80's.
    Alot of fun and oh yea...I ran a couple of times when that 100 MPH softball was coming in....especially when the cather stepped to the side and left his mit in the strike zone and oh yea...Eddie was blindfolded:smoke2:

    i was 10 years old when they came to Saginaw, Mi. i had never witnessed anything like it. i was hooked on fastpitch after that, it was amazing. this is the final hurrah for them, everyone is retiring after this series of games and i hope this one at hunter huss is something to remember. ya all need to come....

    tickets can be purchased at the Sports Center on Main street in Gastonia, at New Era Embroidery/Textiles at 2755 w. franklin or you can go to the highschool after school and purchase them in the concession stand, as we have three or four home games this week.

    Pre game prices are $8.00 per person, and if you bring any unperishable food item on the day of the game and present it with your ticket on entry, you will be refunded $1.00........

    Tickets prices on the day of the game are $10.00 with $1.00 off if you bring a food item for the food bank.

    awesome list of people coming to play and be involved, including Belmont Abbey Softball Coach Elle Hanover as honorary coach for Gaston Allstars. Players from conference softball teams are being recruited, along with local "studs" who think they can hit the ball.....this ought to be good...
