Kings Mountain Road Trip - Disney World

    Just wanted to give an update on Kings Mountains Road Trip.

    Kings Mountain went 4-0 at the wide world sports spring training event in Orlando's Disney World park.

    They won the first game 3-0 over Kinston, OH team.
    The second game they won 5-4 over Last Year's 5A OHio State champions.
    They played the same team again the third game and won 15-2.
    Last game they won 3-2 over Cleveland, OH team to finish up their games.

    They also took in a Braves game Tuesday Night against Detroit which the Braves wont 12-4

    They have gone to the park when they weren't playing or practicing. Today they are spending their last day in the park and will hit the road coming home sometime last tonight.

    Congratulations to Kings Mountain on their 4-0 road record and wish them a safe trip back tonight.

    Can't wait to see some of these girls at the Blues Showcase. It appears they are awesome talents.

    KM does have some great talent. There is even more talent on the bench that don't get much time at the plate, but will be shown this summer!!!!!!!

    I anxiously await the summer months. Good Luck to Kings Mountain and hopefully for Tony Childers sake they aren't closing the park down tonight. Or should I say for the Bus Drivers sake...lol

    This was a very nice trip for all involved! The girls had a great time and Coach Grayson kept them on the go the whole weak, games, practices, and lots of time to enjoy the parks, braves game and of course a few nights out to eat. They got to see some really good teams and played 2 teams that had pitchers throwing 60+. The team got some really good experience this weak. Not to many high school teams get to play that kind of talent, 4 games in a row. The K.M. team shared the bus ride with East Gaston, they also got to play some good teams and gained some good experience. I would suggest that any team that could raise the money for this trip, it is well worth it. The whole complex is bueatiful, and you can also watch the braves semi pro teams practice on 4 seperate fields. Looks pretty intimidating.:trophy:
