Kings Mountain to Host 12 team Scrimmage

    Saturday, February 26 Kings Mountain will host a 12 team scrimmage at the Kings Mountain YMCA. Here are some of the teams participating:

    KM
    East Gaston
    East Rutherford
    Providence
    Bandys
    North Lincoln
    Cherryville
    Freedom
    South Point

    picking between this tourney and the Forbush one is Tuff! its closer for me to enjoy a day of ball in Kings Mtn! alot of outstanding teams are entered and is this going to be 55 minute scrimmages(dropdead time limit) or 7 inning games??

    mmmmm, mmmm good....cooking at the games was a great time for our family(waybackwhen) and are you working two hour sessions?? :laugh1:

    serious cookouts with contiuious "good" games All Day long nearby and the players bustin it on the field is always a great mix!! dont miss the cooking part at the games though!!

    looking forward to seeing these games!!

    Hope to see you there! I,ll be helping out on the fields, while the wife wiil pull the 2 hour sessions. Nothing like being at the fields all day enjoying fastpitch softball, eating those grilled burgers and checking out all that talent. Hope the weather holds out. Don,t forget the late snow we had last year. 60,s would be nice. See you there!:laugh1:

    Scrimmages

    Sure would like to see the Black Mountain and KMT games. I will be at the Forbush games instead. Maybe next year everyone can get together and schedule these scrimmages on different days. It sure would be nice to see all of these great teams play!

    Cherryville may drop out

    Because of the success of the girls basketball team, Cherryville may drop out of the KM multi-scrimmage. If this happens, there will be another team added, just don't know who it will be at this time.
