A beautiful day of HS softball hosted by Kings Mountain.
Well run event on time and smooth. Thanks to the host
    Anyone have any scores etc.
The Lady Knights of North Lincoln won all four of the pool games.
Looking a bit rusty ,but getting the job done none the less,
Thanks to all that made it a fun day.

    wonderful day for softball indeed.

heard Crest beat KM, no hitter by Michelle Primm, East Gaston againt Burns, St Stephens tied KM 1-1, North Lincoln got the job done(as stated), South Point played well

Pitchers, for most teams, were sharp and had great movement on their pitches. the ones i recall(1pm arrival): Michelle Primm,JR, East Gaston pitched a no-hitter(early game)vs Burns and i missed it........Morgan Childers(USC-Upstate signee) is Mo....great spins, movement........Julie Wakefield, FR, St. Stephens, nice work to the new Rookie....and Kelsey Davis, JR, South Point......sweet drop pitch and what a duo those two are..... Ms Elmore(Lenior-Rhyne signee), Catcher/P/Anywhere, calling the pitches, hitting and her leadership qualities are just a joy to witness!! just as the young ladies mentioned above and others who will be mentioned Afterwards,
afterwards........... Casey Camp, KMHS,(WCU signee), Kristen Codgill, JR, KMHS, Stephaine Simmons, SO, SSHS, Melissa Hunter, JR, Crest, Nataile Blanton,Crest, (UNC-C signee) and i hope others will add to this list!

i missed it.....4 or 5 innings(one hour drop dead)...2-1....Melissa Hunter(Crest) and Morgan Childers(KM) pitched well was the news. Proud of both teams and hopefully they play again this season???

Great day of softball and i would bet their were 20-25 TBR Softballers in attendance. great see everyone and just how exciting it IS.

this region has some great young talented softball players and alot of them were in KMT yesterday!!

    Thanks

dont get too excited caman, it was just a 55min game, for us, the object is not to win, but to see who can really play what position and what our pitchers do under pressure and to see what we really need to work on. we played at bessemer and saw some good action and learned the things we needed to improve our team. north gaston looked better than last year, east lincolnton looked tight, gaston christian looked really good, great pitching on that team.

I know these were just 55 min. scrimages and not meant for anything but see what you got on your team. Just wondering about that game. I was in Knoxville for a soccer show & was not able to be there.

You know that there are teams that take even these games serious & think that if they win a scrimage game that should count in the record for the year!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to have to try to lose this dominate feature of mine, just found out last week that I have diabeties. :(

I'll give a shout out to Little Turbo, Emily Torbert (North Lincoln) who hit one out, and Chasiti Falls from KM, who hit the top of the fence. Somebody from South Point also hit a homer, but I couldn't tell who it was. Always good to see a little hitting going on!
