    Clearly one foot is not "at all times" in contact with the ground :) Good catch.

    And I did see what you saw on 1B Cheese. I was less concerned about the legality of that move but the potential hazard to two players should they collide :)

    if the 1st baseman can get the footwork right, she should shift to the foul side of the bag with her rt foot on the edge of bag and stretch out in that direction to receive the throw. this should avoid a collision.
