Lady Blues 14 & Under "Gold" Fall Short In Their First 16 & Under Tournament

    The Lady Blues 14 & Under fell short of taking another State Title on Sunday as the well talented Triangle Lightning out of Raleigh kept us at bay. Strong pitching from the Lightning team along with spectacular catches in the outfield kept our team from scoring many runs and sent us home in second place....Congratulations to the Triangle Lightning " 2006 ASA STATE CHAMPS". By the way keep your eyes on the 14 & Under N.C. Rockers...excellent ball team,well talented and mechanically sound young 14...they will be the ones to watch the next couple of years....Softball Guru.....:ylsuper:

    Why is the Lady Blues 14 and Under a gold team? Are they much better then everyone else?

    NO!!!--- Actually the head coach of the "White Team" gave us our color a year ago to distinguish one 14 from the other...We did not pick out the color, one day we went onto a message board and their we were the Lady Blues 14 & Under "GOLD"............it's just a color, there is no meaning behind it....:1peekdoorSoftball Guru

    hey guru, congrats to the girls on their strong 2nd place. our 16's ran into that triangle lightning team in spartanburg a couple of weeks ago and they are tuff. (congrats to them as well) and thanks for the props for our 14's check out my postings on the 6 and under thread and the asa thread. went on a little rant on the 6 and under u will appreciate. here's to many more years of you guys, us, Fuquay, and the oddly missing Cape Fear teams doing battle and having fun. see ya soon
