Lady Blues 16U

Have been contacted by several players and parents that want us to start a new 16U squad. Our present 16U wants to go 18U in the fall and next summer and since we have 2007 and 2008 kids, I think that is wise. If U are a quality player ages 13-15, interested in pursuing a college career playing softball, please contact me at 704-815-2103 or [email protected]. 16U Blues tryout

Due to the response I have received, we are having tryouts for the 16U Blues Saturday August 27 from 10am to 12pm at Hickory Grove Methodist ball fields. Please only serious player planning to pursue softball in college should attend. This team will play ASA national qualifiers, some showcase events, and NSA States. There will be travel involved, including some travel to other southeastern states and if we qualify for ASA Nationals, could be more extensive travel.

The cost to play will be determined by the total number of players on the team and the dedication to fund raisers or sponsorship pursuit. Once the team is selected, half of the players fees will be due within 30 days of your notification. Hate to put all this stuff about money etc on here but it may assist your thought process.

Come join an organization that will work to help U improve your game and has the contacts to get U seen by the colleges of your choice. For all girls still interested, we will have a second tryout. We just did not have the time to get through all the drills, etc. needed to evaluate the talent and we had several girls that were unable to attend. It does appear we will have to use a Wednesday night or wait at least three weeks to have a Saturday or Sunday time slot. I would prefer to get it done a week from today. Please e-mail me if U are interested and can make that date.

 

Tryouts

The Blues final 16U tryout will be next Wednesday September 7, 2005 from 6-8. Please make arrangements to be there as this will be the last chance. We are getting to far in the fall to drag out another week or two to get a Saturday where we are not playing. Thanks to all that attended the first tryout, please come again. See U Wednesday.

Yea, I know I said this Wednesday was the last time but several have asked for a weekend opportunity due to heavy school loads. Saturday October 1, 2005 from 10-12 will be your opportunity. We are in need of a catcher and a couple outfielders but welcome any good dedicated players no matter positions. The team will be coached by a college assistant and a HS head coach so the practices will be organized and intense.
