    Everybody remember Rodney this week in your prayers as another chapter in his life opens...he has been an inspiration to alot of coaches,and kids through the past years and will continue through the years to come !!! We hope you get well soon !!!

    Was thinking about Rodney last night. Five years ago, Carolina Fear 14u and Lady Blues 14u faced off in a game in charlotte. Blues were untouchable that year. The girls stepped it up and the game went into extra innings. We lost, but what will always stick in my mind is that Rodney made it a point to shake hands or hug every girl on our team and tell them what a great job they did in that game. Get well Rodney from the girls and coaches from the old CF teams.

    Sorry Rodney. I didn't realize that you wasn't feeling well as we sit and talked during several games yesterday at the CVAC tournament. My prayers are with you. Wish you a speedy recovery.

    I have kept it a secret for quite awhile as I did not want people to feel sorry for me or to feel uncomfortable talking to me. I have colon rectal cancer and have known for quite a few months. I am in high spirits, believe all things are going to be just fine. Chemo and radiation went well and surgery scheduled for Friday morning at 7:30am at Duke Univ. The Blues family were just told a week or so ago and have been wonderful as I knew they would be. I will be on the diamond this summer, maybe not as much as before but certainly as much as I can stand the heat!
    All of you young ladies get registered for the showcase day on May 20 so I can see all the great talent and get some hugs from all my daughters in softball! Comet Fan enjoyed our talks yesterday at the CVAC, U are truly one of the pioneers of fastpitch and I respect U as much as anyone I know! Oh I spent 22 hours watching softball this weekend including Monday! I will be back on TBR before U know it. Hey some people maybe glad I am off for awhile! Ha Ha. Good luck to all the HS teams headed for their respective conf tourneys and playoffs! RET
