    Great job by the Lady Lightning TEAM COMBAT

    What a great weekend. They say everything is bigger in Texas and with that said the Lady Lightning TEAM COMBAT team showed that we can play on the big stage.

    With Several colleges watching us this weekend we did not disappoint. After a tough start Saturday with a loss to the Thunder Gold from FL 6-4.
    TEAM COMBAT rebounded to out score 3 well recognized teams from Texas 21-5. The TEAM COMBAT girls represented NC very well and played very good defense all weekend.

    LL TC 4- Texas Starz Black 1 (WP Haley Workman)
    LL TC 8- SA Nightmare 3 (WP Nikki Edwards)
    LL TC 9- Texas Sting Gold ( WP Haley Workman) (HR-Missy Wills)

    Our young team really hammered the ball all weekend and played great defense behind strong pitching. I am very proud all of you for your hard work and efforts.

    08' Heather Taylor, Shay Sullivan, Haley Workman, Stephanie Graziani
    09' Missy Wills, Elisha Elliott, Sarah Forgacs, Nikki Edwards, Laura Curran, Jennifer Barnett, Ericka Harris, Jessica Farmer
    010' Samantha Smith, Alexis Mendillo

    Watch these kids with their HS teams they will all make strong impacts.

    Great to see

    We spend the whole year listening to people talk about their players and their team, it is great to see another team from the Carolinas making waves all over not just locally.

    The plan for these girls has been put in place and they continue to execute it and get stronger and stronger. This young group of players will continue to be heard from.

    With all the competition for players and recognition in NC it is great to see another team step away from the norm and make waves on a bigger level.

    Great job ladies. Keep up the good work. We are looking forward to many more updates from these ladies. Good Luck in GOLD in 08'

    Great Photos & Way to go Lightning

    Way to go ladies on a great run in Texas. Keep working hard and let the nation know how the girls from North Carolina play ball.
