Lake Norman Copperheads SCBL college team win in the bottom of the 12th over Ashville Redbirds 5 to 4 at Hopewell High School. Great defense by Shane Brown and Great base running by Wesley Dozier and Shane. Wesley went 3 for 5 scored two runs with a double and a triple. TJ Worrell picked up the win pitching the last 5 innings with no hits, no run, no walks and striking out 6. TJ looked like the old kid I use to see at South Meck. Great to see him throw so well.

    Copperheads

Congratulations to TJ. I still remember taking my son to see him when he was at South Meck during the playoffs. My kid and his friends were in awe of him. I gotta get out there and see the Copperheads play.

If it would help to get many TBR members to come out...I and Coach Shue will sing, too. :smiley-patriotic-fl

Hey, don't we have State games here this weekend? Maybe we can work something out to encourage SG players and their families to come out and watch a summer collegiate game----I'll sing and dance

No chance on me singing. Mr. Worrell is on his own there. However, all state games participants and parents will be allowed in on Saturday night at no charge. They will also be recognized in between games. Hope to see you all Saturday at 5:00 for a DH vs. Fort Mill.

Can anyone tell me whether Jeffrey Taylor is playing for the Copperheads? I kept in close contact with his father until Jeff's untimely and tragic death a month ago. I know Jeffrey was scheduled to play. He is a terrific player.
