Claim to shame

Per rule 24 of the high school general information on the NCHSAA website this is illegal and subject to a 300 dollar fine. A non-partcipating school cannot tape a game played by two other schools. Nchsaa.org

 

Just a dad

This was a dad of another school. Would that still be illegal? If so I hate we didn't stop him. That would have been fun too. He is a friend of mine now but back then it would have been fun to have him thrown out. ha ha

At the time I didn't think it was the right thing for him to do but I was not going to bother our coach during our game either. There was not anyone else there in authority to take care of the situation so the coach would have had to come off of the field to stop him. Even if this was not illegal I think it was unethical. But it worked and to some that is all that matters at the time.

What if?

What if Im using my cell phone? It does video. What if I use a digital camera and take still shots with a 3-5 frame per second shutter speed(does that exist?)

Unless you really are using high speed video then I don't think you can pick up much from a pitcher or hitter.

In my mind you have to see the whole field to pick up anything. You have to see the players play in real life to pick up anything. I think you have to see the defense in it entirety react to situations.
