Legion game at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium

Next Tuesday June 13 @ 7:00pm- The Kannapolis Intimidators Minor League officials have arranged to host the Kannapolis/Rowan County American Legion baseball game in beautiful Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis next Tuesday. Intimidator officials are dedicated to providing entertainment for the local community and hosting this AL game should simply be a great night for baseball. These 2 Legion programs have simply been the 2 winningest AL programs in Area 3 during the past 4 years. Since 2002, Rowan County has an overall W/L record of 101-40, while Kannapolis stands at 101-41,,, can't get much closer than that. Furthermore, Rowan County won the Area 3 championship and the NC State Championship in 2002, while Kannapolis played in the state tournament as Area 3 champions in both 2003 & 2004. Currently in 2006, Kannapolis leads the Area 3 Southern Division with a league record of 10-2, while Rowan is 3rd at 8-3 overall.

For anyone who loves baseball and has a free night, this is a nobrainer, come on out. Not only will this game be huge for the final Area 3 standings, but there should be a great crowd and we are fortunate to have a beautiful surrounding in Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Again, thanks to the Kannapolis Intimidators for providing this opportunity, and hope to see some of the TBR family at this ballgame.

*** Stadium located just off I-85 in Kannapolis at Lane St./Kannapolis exit, turn towards Kannapolis and stadium entrance is located approx. 200-300 yards from interstate just before lake.

 

Game tonight

Only 10-20% chance of rain, 1st place on the line in great venue,,,,,,, can I expect to see any TBR family at the game tonight?

Well First place is not exactly on the line. Stanly is holding control of that 2nd place right now and are very strong

Rowan County-13 over Kannapolis-5

An estimated 1000 fans came out to beautiful Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium tonight despite the rain to watch Garrett Sherrill pitch Kannapolis to a 5-2 lead going into the 9th inning. Kannapolis actually still led 5-3 with 2 outs, but Rowan preceded to score 11 total runs in the 9th inning alone to win this game going away.

Saw a lot of folks tonight, Braves you missed a great atmosphere, even if the final score stunk out loud.
