Shelby had a 4-3 lead I believe in their game. Cherryville then blew the game open and went on to win 9 or 10 to 4. I didn't get to this one, but I did listen on the radio. Series is now tied 1-1 going back to Shelby.

Steele Creek defeated Burke County 4-1 in a pitcher's duel. Both pitchers pitched into the ninth inning. Steele Creek grabbed a 2-1 lead in the 8th inning when Josh Cable hit an RBI single up the middle that scored Brian Biggs. Graham Baughn got the win to improve to 5-1 on the year going all nine, striking out 10 and giving up 5 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batter and 1 run. Steele Creek leads 2-0 with Game three tonight at Olympic.

Caldwell won their series tonight too... so both the "number one" seeds are moving on to round two...

Haven't heard any finals tonight... shout if you got results...
