    Saturday 6/21: Kannapolis defeated Concord 8-2 in an afternoon makeup game, then beat Lexington 10-1 later that night in a regular scheduled game. Ktown got 2 very strong pitching performances from Lucas Dalton (against Con) and Jonathan Goodman (against Lex).

    nsbaseball5, you want to know how Zach Ward got beat? South Rowan simply swung their bats well on that particular night. Zach and his Ktown teammates got frustrated because of their sloppy fielding. South got key hits with runners in scoring position. South's Andrew Morgan turned in yet another excellent pitching performance. All this adds up to a South victory. I must say congrats to South.

    Sorry, I lost track of the pitching. South lost a 7 run lead......Seth Waller (RC) hit a 3 run HR to tie the game at 8.......South scored 4 runs in the later innings....the big hit was a bases loaded triple by Brett Shore.....Justin Ervin (SR) hit a solo HR......Rowan rally fell short in the 9th.......Rowan committed 7 errors

    They'll do it again tomorrow night at Newman Park @ 7:00

    Earlier this week:
    Gaston Braves 13, Gastonia 4

    Gaston is now 8-5, with King's Mtn., Charlotte, and Monroe left on the league schedule. I believe there is a non-league home and home scheduled with Kannapolis (which our coaching staff is looking forward to, with an assistant being from Kannapolis and the head coach having one or two of his college guys playing there), but I don't know if the rainouts have caused those games to be canceled or not.
