    Charlotte 8 - Gaston Braves 1
Paul Dover winning pitcher 8 1/3, Craig Earls finished the 9th
Jason Cline threw for Gaston, giving way to Brooks Drennan and Mike Raymond. Dover struggled some, walking 6, hitting 4 more, but getting 6 k's. Cline kept the Charlotte batters at bay as well, until the 5th. Charlotte got 4 in the 5th and that made the difference. Andrew Cooper led Gaston, going 1 for 2 with 3 walks. For Charlotte, Ben Kerr was 2 for 4 with a walk, 1 run, Michael Smith was 1 for 3 with 1 walk, 2 runs,Rob Wilson was 1 for 3 with a walk and hit by pitch, 1 run. But the start of the night was David Teague, 3 for 4, 1 rbi, 1 run.
Series is tied 1-1, Thursday night at East Gaston.
