Cary is off to a 3-0 start after beating Garner once, and Roxboro in a DH.

I wasn't there.... I won't join the legion team until we get back from the D2 JUCO World Series. I am thinking about heading back to see them play Schley (Orange) on Tuesday night at Cary. My dad said neither teams looked real strong hitting wise (Cary or Roxboro) and pitching was decent. Cary beat Garner on Friday night behind strong pitching efforts by Kory Judd (Green Hope/UNCG) and Kelly Stracke (Barton). Joe Cutler is out of town this weekend with his High School team seeing the Braves... so when Cutler and I get back Cary will have some more pitching depth. But I have not actually seen our team play this year.

Are you having anything to do with the legion team this year? Any good prospects out there?

    CONCORD--13
    MOORESVILLE--12
    10 INNINGS

    WP: Drye
    LP: ?

Concord scored 7 in the bottom of the 9th to tie it. Concord has a high powered offence with 6 HR's in 3 games but defense is very questionable

On 5/19 Gastonia Post 23 defeated Steele Creek 7-1. Tyler Leach (Kings Mtn.) threw a 9 inning, complete game, in his first start.

Gastonia's next game is this Friday, 5/28, vs the Gaston Braves (Belmont), at Sims Legion Park in Gastonia. Ironically, the two starting pitchers could be former Ashbrook teammates, McCall for Post 23 and Clay Gibson for the Gaston Braves. I'd expect a few "up and ins" to be thrown if that's the case! :)
