    Fun Game to See!

    Tonight, Gastonia Post 23 and the Gaston Braves (Belmont/Stanley) renew their rivalry - with a twist!

    According to the Gaston Gazette, tonight's game will pit former Ashbrook teammates Wes McCall (Gastonia) against Clay Gibson (Braves). This should be a fun one to watch with the two UNC-G signees going against eachother.

    Game time 7:00 at Sims Legion Park in Gastonia (just off I-85 at the Hwy 321 exit).

    I was not there to be honest, due to the death of my grandmother. I did listen on WHIP 1350 AM, Mooresville. When my son (a Mooresville player) got home......he said that a Moor pitcher said something to an ump and was tossed, then our head coach came out to explain that he was our final (ninth) player and that we could not continue....then he was tossed. THEN some real words were exchanged and Mooresville had to exit the field due to having only 8 players eligible. He also told me that the Mocksville legion bosses had some words with the umps and told them that they would not be invited back. Again, I was not there but it sounds like legion ball is already heating up in these parts.
