    Rising sophomore Alex McMahan (Rosman HS) had a nice HR to opposite field (right) in bottom of the seventh, followed by a monster blast to center from UNC signee Seth Williams (North Henderson HS) as Hendersonville pulled away.

    Gastonia went into the bottom of the 8th up 15-3. Huntersville manufactured 5 runs off of Gastonia reliever, Denton, who came in for Maples in the 8th.

    From Thursday Night in Shelby:

    Henderson County 9
    Shelby 7

    Hendersonville grad. Chris White (UNCA signee) went 8 strong getting the win. Levi Wright (North Henderson) came in to work a perfect 9th for the save.

    Seth Williams (UNC signee) and Luke Lovelace (unsigned) had HRs.

    Henderson County is now 4-0 after the win on Friday against Taylorsville.

    Great defensive play by Rowan Co. and a close play at the plate that went against Mooresville in the bottom of the 8th sealed the win for Rowan Co. Good game!
