Leigh Ann Genetti may coach at the HS level

    Rumor has it that Leigh Ann Genetti may be coaching at the HS level this season as a Head Coach.

    This is an extract from one of her bio's:

    A finalist for 2004 National Player of the Year and a Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America honoree, she twice garnered All-Conference USA first team accolades during her collegiate tenure and took home C-USA Pitcher of the Year honors in 2004. She was inducted into the USF Softball Hall of Fame on November 14, 2008.

    Genetti took the circle for the New England Riptide of the Nation Pro Fastpitch League for two years. She also played on softball's premier stage, competing with both the USA National and USA Elite teams in overseas competition. Her impressive accolades are no doubt an asset to both the Wolfpack coaching staff and roster.

    In addition to that, at the local level, she was the pitching coach for NC State. She was also Erica Nunn's pitching coach. Erica took Holly Springs to the State Finals this past season

    I understand there are several schools interested in Leigh Ann but so far she hasn't signed—as far as I know.

    She will be inheriting a program with a solid fundation and a tradition and culture of values and integrity. Rumor has it she was hand picked by previous coach before they moved on to other opportunities. Hope it all works -it will be a win win for both sides.

    Well, I've heard that it is official; Leigh Ann is the new Leesville Road head coach.

    That is great news for Leesville. Coach Tadlock has done a great job every year for as long as I can remember at Leesville. Having Leigh Ann will soften that blow somewhat, I believe.

    The other unofficial rumor is that her assistant is one of the best hitters ever out of NC. Leesville Road kids have a great opportunity!

    Awesome news! Yes, agreed that Leesville Road has been a class act over the years. Looks like Coach Tadlock took a lot of PRIDE (no pun intended) in making sure her girls were in great hands. Class act. She also left behind some pretty strong ball players so the new coaches are already off to a great start.
